European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018

The House of European History is delighted to announce its support and involvement in the European Year of Cultural Heritage, an unprecedented initiative of the European Commission, the European Parliament and the European Council. Throughout 2018, the House of European History will contribute actively to make this Year a real opportunity for people of all walks of life and corners of the continent - to explore Europe's rich and diverse cultural heritage and its meaning for today and tomorrow. As a museum on the history of Europe, the House is a place where cultural heritage is all together celebrated and critically reflected upon. The museum's permanent and temporary exhibitions give a multifaceted and vivid presentation of this heritage as material and immaterial traces of the past which shape our everyday life as well as our civic engagement. The House of European History's involvement in the European Year of Cultural Heritage will encompass a variety of activities run in partnership with key stakeholders in the field in order to encourage physical and virtual encounters and exchanges across borders.
