- Respect others. We love the way the page brings together people from right across Europe and sometimes beyond every day to talk about the EU, its politics and what's going on in its parliament.
- We are very happy to see different political views represented on this page as this reflects the very nature of a parliament, which is about diversity of opinion.
- But please be polite to all members of our community, show respect for fellow users, public figures and the fundamental principles we all share (you know what we mean: no racism or xenophobia, calls to violence, intemperate or provocative messages, discrimination based on religion, ethnic origin, gender, age, language...).
- Safe Space. We strongly believe that our page should be a safe and welcoming space where everyone feels comfortable to share their views. As such, any rudeness, insults, hate, hostility or negativity will not be tolerated and removed. Do not consistently seek out people you disagree with and attack their ideas in a response to their comments on our page.
- Out of respect for World War II victims and veterans we will also remove comments referring to Nazis, the Soviet Union, Hitler or Stalin.
- Active engagement. Feel free to comment our posts or answer questions from other users. Make your point, but keep it short. Be constructive, not obstructive. Inform people of your point of view, persuade them with arguments and factual information. Be engaging, not aggressive. Post new examples or additional links to useful information, but do not repost information already posted in previous comments.
- Moderation. In order to provide a safe space for our community, comments may be hidden or deleted and users can be banned when they violate our moderation policy.
In general, please refrain from posting:
- Posts advertising yourself, your services, your website or your business
- Appeals for money or a visa
- Requests for a job or announcements that you are available.
- General spam and off-topic posts
Spammers will be removed and blocked, as will members who use abusive language. Also, posts deemed inappropriate will be deleted.
Although we welcome different points of views, we will not tolerate so-called conspiracy theories. These are theories with no basis in fact that could be harmful if people were to believe them. We will hide any comments promoting conspiracy theories and consider banning repeat offenders.
Questions? Ask. We aim to respond to direct questions in a timely manner. However, we cannot guarantee responses to all questions and comments.
