Meet the authors of the publication, the curators and the educator of the “Restless Youth” temporary exhibition! Instead of a traditional panel debate, this time we invite the audience to take part in informal and intimate conversations in the museum’s galleries, in direct connection with the exhibition itself, and explore some of the following questions:

Could the youth of the late 1940s-early 1950s be named a quiet generation?

Was the personal as political as what we think in the 1960s?

Are “millennials” only centred on themselves?

With three authors of the “Restless Youth” publication:

  • Katarzyna Stańczak-Wiślicz, Assistant Professor, Institute of Literary Research, Polish Academy of Sciences
  • Chris Reynolds, Associate Professor of Contemporary French and European Studies, Nottingham Trent University, United Kingdom
  • Alan France, Professor of Sociology, Auckland University, New Zealand

In dialogue with the members of the “Restless Youth” team in the House of European History

  • Jitka Mlsová Chmelíková, Curator for the exhibition
  • Kieran Burns, Project Manager and Lead Curator for the exhibition
  • Laurence Bragard, Educator for the exhibition

Moderators: Christine Dupont, Curator for the exhibition and Daphné Budasz, History PHD student, European University Institute
